Pursuing a Passion
At age 58 an artistic and energetic Benjamin DiBartolo decided to finally pursue his life's dream to own a family run business. Benjamin always had a passion for baking, he was known for his amazing confection creations among family and friends. He wanted to make baking his life’s legacy so the determined Philadelphia born native ventured to the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Illinois to earn his degree. After completing his certification he returned and opened the doors to DiBartolo Bakery in 1969 in Pennsauken NJ. Ben, along with his wife Nina and his two young sons, Alfred and Michael, had a clear vision for DiBartolo Bakery:

After Benjamin passed away in 1974 his eldest son Alfred took the reigns of the bakery to carry on his fathers legacy. After 45 years in business Benjamin's sons Alfred and Michael continue to run the family bakery on day to day operations. The DiBartolo family tradition carries on as Al's two sons are picking up the family torch. Still known for their modern cake creations, Al’s eldest son, Al DiBartolo Jr. has become an award winning cake decorator featured on television for his amazing artistic talents.
